New Years Eve thoughts

[simple-woman-daybook-small.jpg]

I am thinking... that my house is lovely and clean and tidy ready to greet the New Year
I am thankful for...having had such a wonderful 2009
From the kitchen...
I have baked some biscuits to take as gifts for the hostesses of the parties I am going to later
I am wearing...a black and sparkley gold striped top, black skirt and tights.
I am creating...
memories
I am going...
out in a while to visit good friends and then family.
I am reading...
"The organised Mums handbook"
I am hoping...
for a wonderful 2010 with lots of love and laughter.
I am hearing...my partner hoover!
Around the house...
the Christmas decorations are sparkling, it will be a shame when we take them down at the weekend.
One of my favorite things...
is thinking back over special memories from the old year.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Take down the Christmas decorations, spend time with my partner and son. Prepare for my sons 1st Birthday next week.
Here is picture for th
ought I am sharing...My special boys watching the F1 racing

Happy New Year to you all. I hope you make some wonderful memories in 2010 x x

A Christmas Carol

I have told you all before how much I love the story of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. Last night we watched my favourite film adaptation of it which....I am afraid to say........... is The Muppets version! Its fab, I urge any of you that havent seen it to watch it. It will make you feel very Christmassy and warm and fuzzy!

My favourite song is "with a Thankful heart", here are the lyrics:

With a thankful heart, with an endless joy
With a growing family, every girl and boy
Will be nephew and niece to me (Nephew and niece to me)
Will bring love, hope and peace to me (Love, hope and peace to me)
Yes and every night will end, and every day will start
With a greatful prayer and a thankful heart

With an open smile and with open doors
I will bid you welcome, what is mine is yours
With a glass raised to toast your health (With a glass raised to toast your health)
And a promise to share the wealth (Promise to share the wealth)
I will sail a friendly course, file a friendly chart
On A sea of love and a thankful heart

Life is like a jouney, who knows when it ends?
Yes and if you need to know the measure of a man
You simply count his friends
Stop and look around you, the glory that you see
Is born again each day, don't let is slip away
How precious life can be

With a thankful heart that is wide awake
I do make this promise, every breath I take
Will be used now to sing your praise (Used now to sing your praise)
And to beg you to share my days (Beg you to share my days)
With a loving guarantee that even if we part
I will hold you close in a thankful heart

I will hold you close in a thankful heart

I think the words are lovely and should be considered every day.

I have also done this times Cook a “takeaway” dinner for my Mum and Dad so Boldmy mum can have a night off once every 6 months. They have a shepherds pie to pop in the oven for when my Mum comes home from doing the Christmas shopping. I enjoy doing these little things to help her out.

25 Done - Loads more in the pipeline!

Hello All

Well yesterday we visited a German Market so I can cross off 69. It was very pretty with lots to look at but very expensive. They had some lovely glass gifts and wooden toys for my son but were all far too dear so I just had to look not buy. I did buy a delicious filled pretzel and a Glugwein!

I realise now, looking back at my list, that I may have been a bit over ambitious with some of them given our financial situation but we will see how it pans out. If I dont manage them I can just add them on to my next 101 list cant I!

I am going to make my cake of the month today, a Christmas Cake!! The fruit has been soaking in brandy for 2 days so should be nice and tasty. I am also going to make some cinamon rolls using this recipe http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/cinammon_rolls_/ they look delicious, nom nom nom!!
